Families and their children are encouraged to participate in a variety of hands-on service projects throughout Lewisville. Activities may include raking leaves, trimming hedges, mowing and weeding, washing windows, cleaning and sweeping, removing debris, painting, and other light outdoor projects. With proper adult supervision, youth can safely contribute to many of these service opportunities that support homes, neighborhoods, and public spaces across the city.
To ensure a safe and positive experience, a minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 5 youth volunteers is required. Younger children should have closer supervision and may require a tighter adult-to-youth ratio depending on the activity.
