The Building Services Division manages and coordinates the plan review, permitting and inspection of private construction projects in accordance with the City of Lewisville ordinances and adopted Building Codes. If you are considering remodeling your home or business, be sure you or your contractor applies for a building permit from the City of Lewisville first.

The City of Lewisville has launched MGO Connect for all permitting and inspection requests. To apply for a building permit or to register as a contractor, please visit MGO Connect to create an account and submit an application. Please refer to our MGO Connect Guide for step-by-step instructions. 

• Communication & Status Updates:
  While your application is being reviewed, you can login to your MGO Connect account at any time to check the status of your application. If more information is needed, an email will be sent to you requesting your attention to the item.

• Revisions:
  If your submitted plans need to be revised, an electronic copy of your mark-ups will be sent to your MGO Connect account. Once revised, simply upload the new plans to your project file.

• Approval & Payment:
  Once your application has been approved, you will receive an invoice for any applicable fees. All payments are made through your MGO Connect account. After submitting payment, an electronic copy of the permit or approval certificate will be available for immediate download.
