My Water Advisor – Track Your Water Usage in Real Time

Lewisville is excited to announce it is now utilizing advanced technology designed to enhance your customer service experience, empower you to better manage your water consumption throughout the month, and proactively identify troublesome leaks.

My Water Advisor 2.0 easily allows you to access your water meter data via a web-ready device (computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone application) with up-to-date data while providing the following benefits.

Customize alerts per your desired maximum water usage to help personal budgeting
Proactively conserve water
Address high consumption during the month – not after it’s too late when the bill arrives
Be notified of leaks throughout the month to address them promptly

How to set up your account:

Use this link to set up your My Water Advisor 2.0 account, then follow the steps below.

Click on the JOIN MY WATER ADVISOR
Choose the option to enter your Account Number
Enter your Full Name as it appears on your bill.
Enter a valid email address and create a password.

The My Water Advisor 2.0 app is available for download on both Google and Apple.

- How much will this new service cost me?
  There is no cost to use the new app features.
- What is the technology that reads my meter?
  The Master Meter AMI network is a radio frequency (RF) communication system. It captures water meter data such as flow rates, reverse flow detection, and other real-time operating data.
  
  * Data is typically updated twice daily (around noon and midnight), depending on system and environmental factors. For example, if you log in at 4 p.m., the latest hourly data is likely from 12 p.m. that day.
- How do I access the online portal for the first time?
  You can create an account on the My Water Advisor 2.0 portal by visiting https://mywateradvisor2.com/ and following these steps:
  1. Click on the “Account Number” field in the Sign-Up window on the right side of the screen.
  2. In the new window, enter your Account Number and your First and Last Name as listed on your water bill.
  3. Provide a valid email address and create a password.
  4. Once registered, log in using your email and password from a computer or smartphone.
- Where can I find my water bill account number?
  You can find your account number on your most recent water bill or utility invoice.
- How do I access the My Water Advisor 2.0 smartphone app?
  The app is available for both iOS and Android devices. Download it from the App Store or Google Play by searching “My Water Advisor 2.0.” After downloading, log in with your email and password.
- I have a question about my water bill. Who should I contact?
  Please contact utility billing via ub@cityoflewisville.com or 972.219.3440.
- What types of water usage data will I find in the portal?
  After registration, you'll have access to your current water usage data, meter readings, and a forecast of your water use through the end of the current month.
  
  * Data is typically updated twice daily (around noon and midnight), depending on system and environmental factors. For example, if you log in at 4 p.m., the latest hourly data is likely from 12 p.m. that day.
  
  **Usage data begins displaying once your account is activated. Historical usage from before activation will not be shown. Please note that when the account is first activated, there is often a high usage on the first day. This is a known anomaly due to the meter being active before the viewer account is activated. This will not affect your bill.
- How do I create a customized alert about my water consumption?
  Go to the Settings tab at the top of the portal. From there:
  - Set your personal Consumption Limit.
  - Choose your preferred notification method (e-mail or SMS). Enter your cell number if you wish to receive SMS alerts.
  * Data is typically updated twice daily (around noon and midnight), depending on system and environmental factors. For example, if you log in at 4 PM, the latest hourly data is likely from 12 p.m. that day.
- What types of alerts can be set from the portal?
  1. Suspected Leak: Alerts you if continuous water flow is detected for 24 hours.
  2. Usage Above Average: Alerts you when current use exceeds the average from the same period last year.
  3. Usage Above Maximum: Alerts you when your usage exceeds your custom threshold.
  4. Usage During Absence (Vacation): Receive an alert if water is used during a period you’ve marked as "away."
- I am going on vacation. How do I set specific alerts about water consumption in my absence?
  In the HOME tab on your dashboard, click “DEFINE DAYS.” Enter your vacation dates, and the system will monitor usage during that time. If water is used while you're away, you’ll receive a notification.
- I want help managing my water usage; is there a way to set consumption threshold limits?
  Yes. Go to the HOME tab and click “SET BILLING CYCLE LIMIT.” From there, set your daily maximum usage and choose how you want to be alerted (email or SMS) when that limit is reached.
  
  *** My Water Advisor 2.0 does not have the ability to turn water on or off. These alerts are for notification purposes only. If you need to have service temporarily disconnected, please contact Public Services at 972.219.3510.
