Does Lewisville Police Department have a Kiosk for online police reports?
The Lewisville Police Department Online Police Report Kiosk is located at 1187 W. Main St. The Kiosk is located in the Lewisville Detention Facility lobby. Using this online Citizen Police Report System allows you to submit a report immediately. Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:
Is this an Emergency? (in-progress crime, injured person, immediate threat to your safety)
Did this incident occur outside of the Lewisville city limits or Castle Hills?

Does the Police Department offer tours of its facility?
The Police Department does permit tours of the police facility by appointment only. It is a great outing for local civic and community groups. Interested groups (Third grade students and older, please.) will be able to view the Communications Center, the Briefing Room, and a Police car. How can I report Graffiti?
The Lewisville Police Department provides a graffiti reporting hotline, 972.219.5010. Those calling the graffiti, or "tagging", hotline will be directed to a voicemail box instructing the caller to press “0” if the crime is in progress, or to leave a message with details of the site that has been tagged. In-progress reports will be transferred directly into dispatch. Those leaving details of a graffiti location will be asked to leave a name and telephone number in case the LPD needs to contact them for additional information, but it is not required in order to leave a location.

How do I find crime information for my neighborhood?
The Lewisville Police Department is working to reestablish an automatic link to the LexisNexis Community Crime Map to provide up to date crime mapping and data as a free service to citizens. Information can be selected for the entire city or a specific neighborhood for the previous 6 months, in 30 day increments. The map also allows you to set up a free personalized account and receive crime monitoring updates for your designated area.
If you need more information than is provided by this site, or have time sensitive requests prior to us reestablishing the link, requests may be submitted in writing (dropped off in person, mailed, or emailed) to the records division, pdopenrecords@cityoflewisville.com. Please include a specific address to be analyzed and valid contact information in your request. Allow up to 10 working days for a response. Only statistical information (counts) will be provided, specific crime details or report information must be requested through a Public Information Request.
How do I make a Public Information Request?
For Public Information Requests can be obtained by using the online request system. In your request be very specific in the information requested. How do I obtain a copy of a police or accident report?
Copies of police and accident reports are available Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Police Department Records window. The Police Department is located at 1187 W. Main Street.
The fee for non-certified motor vehicle crash reports retrieved from the police department Records Section is $6.
A certified copy of a crash report (from Records Division only) is $8. The Record Division accepts cash or check only. Crash reports completed before and after August 3, 2009, will still be available at Lewisville Police Department, 1187 W. Main Street, Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Police crime reports are considered an ‘Open Record’ and portions are available to anyone upon request free of charge provided the report does not exceed 30 pages.

How do I report a crime or traffic problem?
For emergencies, traffic accidents, and crimes in progress, call 911.
For suspicious activity, report only calls for insurance, or other non-emergency requests for service, call 972.219.3640.

The Lewisville Police Department offers two DEA Drug Take Back events each year, one in April and one in October. Use this link for more information.
Where can I get fingerprints taken?
The Police Department will fingerprint you for security clearances or licensing as required by employers except Firearm Licensing. Visit our Fingerprinting Services page for more information on fees and times.
Where do I pay a ticket?
Tickets issued by Lewisville Police Officers can be paid at the Lewisville Municipal Court, 1197 W. Main Street (the building due west of the police department). Tickets may not be paid at the Lewisville Police Department Records Section.
Tickets issued by the Department of Public Safety can be paid at the Precinct 3 Government Center located at 400 N. Valley Parkway.
Where do I register my car?
Denton County allows vehicle registration at the following locations:
Any Tom Thumb or Sack and Save grocery store in Denton County
Any Tax Office location (Denton at 300 E. McKinney St and Lewisville at 400 N. Valley Parkway
