The Minor Housing Rehab Program has CLOSED for 2025 Applicants.
The Minor Housing Rehab Program is designed to assist low-to-moderate-income Lewisville homeowners with HVAC repair, replacement, or installation services and parts at no cost to the resident.
This program is funded by the Community Development Block Grant. The Program will work with a single HVAC contractor/company determined by the City of Lewisville that will provide the labor and parts to each eligible resident selected. The City of Lewisville Neighborhood Services Department will work with the resident and contractor to ensure timelines and property availability.
This program does not provide funding or reimbursement for work performed outside of the program. All project funds will be paid from the City of Lewisville directly to the contractor/company selected.

- Owned your home for 2+ years
- HVAC repair/replacement/installation occurring at your primary residence
- Be current on mortgage payments and homeowner insurance coverage
- Earn at or below income thresholds listed below for your household size (note all members of your household are included in income calculations).

Note that the above income limits are listed for the 2025 application that is now closed, income limits will likely be updated for future application cycles.
What can I expect if I apply?
- Residents interested in applying for assistance must complete an online application.
- An application begins the process of assistance through the program which will take 3-4 months before completion of the work on the HVAC unit.
- The Minor Housing Rehab Program is federally funded, meaning federal requirements are in place, causing timelines to be extended longer than typical HVAC repairs, replacements, and installations.
- Throughout the project duration, there will be required visits to your home by City Staff or a Contractor. Each visit will be scheduled with you prior to coming to your home.
- The graphic to the left is a simplified timeline of the project for homeowners. All months with snowflake graphics reflect months that will require either City Staff or Contractor to be present at your home. Will be scheduled with you each time.
