The Environmental Control Services Division supports the performance of the Water and Wastewater Divisions. They protect and preserve the environment by performing laboratory and process analyses.
The ECS Laboratory has a water and wastewater laboratory to serve the environmental needs of the City of Lewisville and its citizens. The combined laboratories perform over 70,000 analyses annually in order to insure a safe drinking water supply and a clean environment for our customers.
Our water laboratory is NELAC accredited for the analyses of Total Coliform and E. Coli. Tap or well water may be tested for bacteria by the City of Lewisville Laboratory for a cost of $27.50 for each sample examined. You must first come by the ECS Laboratory located at 897 Treatment Plant Road and pick-up a sample bottle, instructions on collecting a sample and the required paperwork. After you collect your sample, you must bring the sample back on Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. - noon only in order to be processed.
For information regarding water quality, please see our most recent Water Quality Report or you can contact the lab at 972.219.3548.
For questions or directions to the ECS Laboratory please call or 972.219.3548 or send us an e-mail.
