Just a reminder about temporary street closures for the funeral procession of Lewisville Fire Chief Tim Tittle. The closures will start this morning, Friday, Jan. 24, at McGee Lane at First Baptist Church of Lewisville, head south down Old Orchard, Valley Parkway, FM 3040, Edmonds and into Coppell. A flyover of multiple helicopters will start the procession.
Citizens are encouraged to line the route to pay tribute to Chief Tittle and his family. Timing of street closures will be from around 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Drivers should plan accordingly and consider alternate routes.
In addition to the basic services that may come to mind when thinking about a fire department, the Lewisville Fire Department is composed of several specialty divisions.
Training Division: The Training division provides overall coordination for firefighting training and the health and safety of the firefighters.
Arson/Public Education:Arson Investigations and Public Education are a new combination for the Lewisville Fire Department. This division investigates all suspicious fires as well as coordinates the departments numerous public education programs.
EMS Division: The EMS division oversees all medical services provided by the fire department.
