It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing early this morning of Fire Chief Tim Tittle after a long and courageous fight against cancer. Chief Tittle served the Lewisville Fire Department for more than 40 years and leaves a legacy of unparalleled dedication and integrity. Lewisville has lost a good friend, and the community is a little bit lesser for his absence. Our thoughts are with the Tittle family as they grieve and with the fire services family as they strive daily to carry on the unequaled example of his life.
The Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is an open intake facility for Lewisville residents and accepts any animal regardless of health, age, or breed. Unfortunately, due to space constraints and limited resources of care, the shelter may not be able to offer every animal adoption opportunity.
Animal Services regularly works with rescue organizations to help alleviate space and care capabilities, but encourage those wishing to surrender a pet to evaluate all other resources available prior to surrender.
For more information not listed here or if you have an animal related issue, please call the Animal Shelter during normal business hours. If you have an emergency, call 911.
