Due to construction beginning for Thrive, the multigenerational recreation center,
the Senior Activity Center, once located in Memorial Park, closed on July 6, 2018.
Activities have been relocated to Music City Mall 2401 S. Stemmons Frwy #2194.
We think the operative word in our name is “activity,” and there are lots of them here for you to enjoy. We strive to offer a wide variety of activities including special events, classes and trips. Many programs and seminars at the Senior Activity Center are free of charge. Our classes, trips and activities are reasonably priced. Glance through these pages or stop by the Center and begin your new adventure. Fun and new friends await you.

The Senior Connection Newsletter
Published quarterly, the newsletter contains the center calendar, upcoming events, classes, seminars, information about agencies at the Center, news, and much, much more! Newsletters may be picked up free of charge at the Center, Lewisville Public Library, City Hall, and the PARD office.
Recreation & Enrichment
The Senior Activity Center offers a variety of recreational and social activities including arts & crafts, music, dance, exercise, drama, billiards, pinochle, bunco, bingo, Hand & Foot, and various table games as dominoes, and much more! Holiday gatherings, special events, and day tours are also popular activities. Some of our free monthly services include Medicare Assistance, annual income tax assistance, blood pressure, health seminars and financial workshops.
First Friday Dances
First Friday Dances are held once a Quarter.

There are many opportunities to volunteer your time and talents at the Center and in the Community. Instructors, lunch helpers, and administrative volunteers find themselves needed and appreciated at the Lewisville Senior Activity Center.
Nutrition - SPAN
Lunch is served Monday through Friday at 12 p.m. by Special Programs for Aging Needs (SPAN) in a congregate meal setting. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling 972.219.5054 at least 24 hours in advance. Suggested donation is $ for those 60 and over and $5 for those under age 60. For information on home delivered meals and additional services call SPAN 940.382.2224.
Transportation to the Senior Activity Center and other places within the city limits is provided to Lewisville residents through the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) Connect bus service. For information regarding rates and routes, contact the DCTA office at 940.243.0077.
