The six acre dog park features two areas for dogs and owners. One acre is dedicated to small breeds and five acres are reserved for larger breeds. Covered seating areas are provided in both sections so that owners may comfortably keep track of their animals. Near the entrances are transition areas to provide leashing/unleashing, waste disposal, wash stations and drinking & watering fountains. Potential programs to be developed could include dog obedience classes and agility training courses.

Several area animal rescue groups have been contacted in regards to forming a support group for the park. They will be instrumental in promotional assistance and potential sponsor recruitment and recognition.
