Council Overview

Lewisville is a Home Rule City and operates under a council-manager form of government. The City Council consists of a mayor and five members. The Council is elected at large and serves three-year terms. 

The City Council is the legislative and governing body of the City. In accordance with City Charter, the Council enacts legislation, adopts the annual operating budget and is responsible for setting policy. The City Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the City and implements policies set forth by the Council.
