Mr. David Erb joined the City of Lewisville in April 2019 as Finance Director.  In his current role, Mr. Erb oversees all areas of finance administration including accounting, cash receipts, accounts payable, utility billing, cash disbursements, capital assets, purchasing, billing, collections, treasury, investments and internal auditing.  He also prepares annual property tax rate calculations, develops, administers and monitors departmental budget of over $3M, provides expert guidance and support to the city Council, City executive team and City departments concerning financial matters, cost management strategies, public financing, and internal controls.

 Mr. Erb had previously served as the Director of Finance for the Village of Mount Prospect for 16 years.  In this capacity, he was responsible for coordinating the fiscal activities and systems for the Village of Mount Prospect, which included administrative control and direction over budget and financial forecasting, accounting and financial reporting, auditing, treasury management, investments, purchasing, utility billing, debt administration, Police and Firefighter Pension Fund administration, property and casualty insurance, revenue collection and vendor disbursements.

Mr. Erb received his Bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and Graduate Degree from North Eastern Illinois University.
