Tears to Glory, a solo exhibition by Yoonsoo Nam, is now open for a month-long run through Sept. 19, in the Education Hallway Gallery at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.

Tears to Glory is a powerful journey of trust, where each tear marks a step toward transformation. It is a path of surrender, where pain is reshaped into meaning and every tear becomes a brushstroke of hope. This collection reflects a deeply personal journey of endurance, faith, and letting go-where each step leads toward freedom and renewal. Each painting holds a moment of vulnerability and strength, inviting reflection and connection.

Nam’s art reflects worship-an offering of color, movement, and spirit. With each brushstroke, she seeks to capture the unseen, translating faith into a visual language that invites viewers into a sacred encounter. Her work is an expression of gratitude, prayer, and praise, revealing the beauty of God’s presence in both the visible and invisible.

Recognized as the Poet Laureate of the City of Lewisville from 2022-24, Nam has shown her work in 20 solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Beyond gallery spaces, she collaborates with gallerists and interior designers, bringing her distinctive artistic vision to diverse environments.

The Grand is Lewisville's home for the arts. It presents a variety of regional and national touring performers, art exhibits, and classes, while also giving the many arts groups in the greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works. Its multiple performance spaces play host to a variety of events including live music, theater, dance performances, comedy shows, and more. The center features the 294-seat Huffines Performance Hall, black box theater, recital hall, art gallery, and courtyard.

To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Please be aware that there is heavy road construction at the Main Street interchange with I-35E that will cause delays.
