Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

LVTV broadcasts on channel 1016 on the Astound Broadband system, and channel 15 on Frontier Cable system, features a great lineup of award-winning original programs along with public meetings and timely announcements about city events and operations.

Free weekly exercise classes

Weekly, free exercise classes are offered in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, 150 W. Church Street, in Old Town Lewisville. There are no class size limitations or reservations needed to attend.

  • Monday Power Hour - This is where Lewisville levels up. Every Monday at 6:15 p.m. expect a high-energy HIIT workout designed to build strength, burn fat, and boost endurance. This fast-paced session combines total body movements, functional training, and explosive intervals to keep you challenged and motivated. All fitness levels are welcome—come ready to push your limits, stay disciplined, and move with purpose.
  • Yoga in the Plaza by Blue Anjou Yoga Studios - Classes will be held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. These one-hour classes are open to all yoga levels. Attendees need to bring their own yoga mat, or blanket, towel, and water.
  • Bodyweight Strength Class with Case Cortez – Classes will be held every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. These invigorating 45-minute workout classes are open to all skill levels. Attendees need to bring a fitness mat, towel, and water. No weights required.
  • Tai Chi in the Plaza - Classes will be held every Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Classes will last one hour and include the 16-movement form of Tai Chi which is one of slow, big movements, and flowing forms. No special gear or uniform is required, but participants are encouraged to wear loose comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes.

These classes are a public activation of Wayne Ferguson Plaza supports the “Old Town” Big Move in the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. The full plan can be viewed online at cityoflewisville.com/lewisville2025.
