Lewisville releases annual financial reports

The Lewisville Finance Department presented the FY 2024-2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and Popular Financial Report earlier this week to the Lewisville City Council.

The process to create these reports started in late Fall. The entire audit and these two reports provide a high-level look at City finances and spending and are intended for external funding agencies, banks, and agencies that make credit decisions on the City’s behalf.

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is a set of audited financial statements compiled by the City of Lewisville and audited by a firm of independent certified public accountants using Government Accounting Standards Board requirements. The report gives a detailed explanation of the City of Lewisville’s revenues and expenditure and enables the public to gain an understanding of the City’s financial condition.

The Popular Annual Financial Report presents the City of Lewisville's financial information in an common-language, easy-to-read format. It is intended to provide an overview of the City's financial position to residents and business leaders who do not have a background in public finance. The Popular Annual Financial Report was first created for FY 2019-2020.
