Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

LVTV broadcasts on channel 1016 on the Astound Broadband system, and channel 15 on Frontier Cable system, features a great lineup of award-winning original programs along with public meetings and timely announcements about city events and operations.

Social Service Funds Grant applications now being accepted

Post Date:February 13, 2026
The City of Lewisville is now accepting Requests for Proposals for Social Service Funds Grants for the 2026-27 program year.

This application process is open to all 501c(3) nonprofit agencies or government entities with eligible social service programs benefiting low-income and moderate-income Lewisville residents. An estimated $127,140 will be available for Community Development Block Grant funds, based on last year’s allocation. An estimate of $240,000 could be available in City funds, but this is not guaranteed until Lewisville City Council approves a final City budget in August. The combined funding available for social services is estimated at $367,140 based on the current budget.

The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13.

Interested applicants must watch a Pre-Application Workshop video, complete a brief eligibility screening, and take a training quiz to verify they have received the training. For returning applicants, this video and quiz will take the place of the previous, in-person pre-application training.

Any questions on this program can be sent to Grants Specialist Rachel Hiles at rhiles@cityoflewisville.com.
