Lewisville Animal Shelter “Pet of the Week” – Millie Jean

In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.

This week’s featured pet is Millie Jean, a 7-year-old female Terrier/American Staffordshire mix. She is a stocky girl who would love a family that has a healthy life-balance of exercise and relaxation. She is friendly, has a high activity level, and gets along with children - so it’s perfect, let her and the kids run around and play together and tire each other out. She is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized.

Anyone interested in Millie Jean can submit an application through the “Adoptable Pets” page at cityoflewisville.com. Just click on her picture and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application. Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. While on the phone and if approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for a visit. Applications will be responded to in the order they are received.
