2026 ColorPalooza Logo Announced

Designed by LHS Killough Sophomore Greidy Marisol Flores Mejia
Post Date:January 05, 2026 2:02 p.m.

Greidy Marisol Flores Mejia, sophomore from LHS Killough, has created the winning logo for the 2026 ColorPalooza: A Celebration of Spring festival.

Her winning logo was unveiled Monday night at the City Council meeting. The logo features playful letters that spell out “ColorPalooza,” and splashes of paint to show energy and fun. A paintbrush represents art and imagination, while the curved shapes make the logo feel alive and welcoming.

Flores Mejia said she wanted to show how ColorPalooza brings people together and to celebrate art and self-expression. She said her logo is bold and joyful, just like the event itself.

She heard about the logo contest from her art teacher. She decided to enter because she enjoys art and design and wanted to share her creativity with the community. She said this contest is a great way to show what Lewisville means to her – that it’s colorful, friendly, and full of life.

By winning the student logo contest, Flores Mejia receives a one-time $1,500 college scholarship.

ColorPalooza, the annual outdoor festival, will be held on Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., in historic Old Town Lewisville. Attendees will be entertained by various cultural music and dance groups. Admission to the festival will be free, although some activities might carry a nominal charge.

This festival features a wide variety of exhibits and interactive events with a “spring feel” for the whole family. Visitors will get to show off their artistic abilities, watch skilled artists create one-of-a-kind artwork, marvel at and create colorful sidewalk chalk art, and learn how to better care for the Earth and make their homes more environmentally friendly.
