Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

LVTV broadcasts on channel 1016 on the Astound Broadband system, and channel 15 on Frontier Cable system, features a great lineup of award-winning original programs along with public meetings and timely announcements about city events and operations.

Library to close Dec 17-18 for HVAC replacement

Post Date:November 20, 2025 9:42 a.m.

The Lewisville Public Library will be closed Wednesday, December 17 and Thursday, December 18, while crews replace the building’s HVAC system.

At times, this closure will include the drive-up book return, which will not be available at all on Wednesday, December 17. The book return will reopen after cranes have cleared off the site and it is safe for vehicles.

The Library will reopen for regular hours at 9 a.m., on Friday, December 19.

To minimize inconvenience, due dates for all library materials will be extended so that nothing will be due during the closure. Hold pick-up expiration dates also will be extended.

While the building is closed, patrons are encouraged to explore the Library’s Digital Library, which is available 24/7, and offers eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, streaming music, and more.

The Library appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as these important facility updates are completed.
