Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

LVTV broadcasts on channel 1016 on the Astound Broadband system, and channel 15 on Frontier Cable system, features a great lineup of award-winning original programs along with public meetings and timely announcements about city events and operations.

Neighborhood grants workshop - cancelled

Lewisville Neighborhood Services invites residents to learn about home repair resources and grant opportunities during a free workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 6:30 p.m., at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street. Be sure to register by Sunday, Dec. 7. Link to RSVP.

The City of Lewisville provides funding for homeowner repairs through the Property Enhancement Program, Love Your Block, and Neighborhood Enhancement Program. Attendees will learn about the grant process, get instructions on how to apply, and learn about other countywide resources.

The Property Enhancement Program is a financial grant-rebate program for Lewisville residents to assist with exterior home repairs. Eligible applicants and projects may be approved for a 50 percent matching grant-rebate, up to a maximum dollar amount.

Love Your Block is a $500 reimbursable mini grant that aims to build community within a specific neighborhood. This grant can be used for neighborhood parties, meeting space rentals, vacant lot clean up, little libraries, or planting in a neighborhood shared space. Applications are open year-round.

Neighborhood Enhancement Program is a matching grant up to $12,500 to neighborhood groups wanting to beautify their neighborhood. This grant can be used to build entryway features, buy sign toppers, create a Neighborhood Emergency Response Team, or improve a neighborhood park.

To learn more about all these grant opportunities, please visit the Neighborhood Vitality page.

This program supports the “Diverse and Thriving Neighborhoods” Big Move in the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. The full plan can be viewed online at cityoflewisville.com/lewisville2025.
