Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Spectrum and Frontier Communications cable systems. LVTV Prime (TW-16, VF-15) broadcasts programs and announcements with basic information about city events and operations, while LVTV Leisure (TW-96, VF-16) focuses on the parks and recreation field.

Our Productions Theatre Co. will hold the Play Reader’s Club on Thursday, Jan. 30, 7:30 p.m., at Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.

The club will meld both arts patrons and professionals together to explore both new and classic scripts in a “book club” style approach. Each month a new script will be discussed. Participants can take a reader’s role or just listen. This month’s discussion will focus on “Patrichor” by Lindsay Hayward.

The club is free to attend, and donations are welcome. Refreshments will be served. The suggested age for the club is 17 and over.

Future club meeting dates include Thursday, Feb. 27, and Thursday, Mar. 26.

Our Productions Theatre Co. is one of eight local groups receiving funding from a City of Lewisville grant program designed to foster cultural and fine arts in the community.
