It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing early this morning of Fire Chief Tim Tittle after a long and courageous fight against cancer. Chief Tittle served the Lewisville Fire Department for more than 40 years and leaves a legacy of unparalleled dedication and integrity. Lewisville has lost a good friend, and the community is a little bit lesser for his absence. Our thoughts are with the Tittle family as they grieve and with the fire services family as they strive daily to carry on the unequaled example of his life.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Spectrum and Frontier Communications cable systems. LVTV Prime (TW-16, VF-15) broadcasts programs and announcements with basic information about city events and operations, while LVTV Leisure (TW-96, VF-16) focuses on the parks and recreation field.

Lewisville Parks and Recreation is looking to fill multiple full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions at Thrive, the City’s new 87,000-square-foot multigenerational recreation center which is scheduled to open in late Spring 2020, and other City-run facilities.

Thrive is located at the intersection of Valley Parkway and Corporate Drive, on the site of the former Senior Activity Center and Memorial Park Recreation Center. It will feature an indoor natatorium, gymnasiums, an indoor walking track, expanded fitness area, community rooms, indoor playground, and more than 14,000 square feet of space dedicated to activities for senior adults.
