Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Spectrum and Frontier Communications cable systems. LVTV Prime (TW-16, VF-15) broadcasts programs and announcements with basic information about city events and operations, while LVTV Leisure (TW-96, VF-16) focuses on the parks and recreation field.

Basket Case is a Dallas-based tribute band dedicated to frenzied performances of music from the most iconic punk band of our generation, Green Day. The band performs authentic reproductions covering Green Day’s amazing career. Basket Case strives to bring the awesome full power of live, in their prime, Green Day arena performances into local intimate club settings.

Swan Song is the longest-running Led Zeppelin tribute band in the southern United States. Established in 1999, the DFW-based group brings back all Led Zeppelin’s majesty and magic with amazing accuracy. Swan Song's repertoire includes a wealth of live-version performances and acoustic renditions in their set list of more than 55 songs. Given such a lengthy set list, the band is well-known for playing long sets, often without breaks - much like Led Zeppelin did themselves. Swan Song recreates the legendary music of the mighty Led Zeppelin in a live performance you won't soon forget.

This series is a buildup to the City-sponsored "Texas Pop Turns 50" Labor Day concert festival at Lewisville Lake Park golf course. ZZ Top and Chicago are headliners for the two-day event.
