Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Time Warner and Verizon VFIOS cable systems. LVTV Prime (TW-16, VF-15) broadcasts programs and announcements with basic information about city events and operations, while LVTV Leisure (TW-96, VF-16) focuses on the parks and recreation field.

Events and activities happening at the Lewisville Public Library.

Grab a book and share new experiences with friends and family at the Lewisville Public Library, 1197 W. Main Street. The Library is open Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.

Teen Crafternoon
For Teens ages 13-18
Tuesday, April 23, 4-6 p.m.

School’s out—let’s make stuff. All supplies are provided and free! No registration required.

Stay Crafty: Adult Craft Night
Tuesday, April 23, 7-8 p.m.

Make it and take it home at Stay Crafty, Lewisville Public Library's monthly craft event. All supplies are provided. Registration is not required, but space is limited. Tickets will be handed out at the The Hive service desk 30 minutes prior to the class start time. Attendees must have a ticket to attend. For adults age 18 and up only. April's activity is Citrus Votive Candles.

LPL's Teen Advisory Group Presents: Petal Party!
For kids ages 4-8 with their families
Thursday, April 25, 6:30-8 p.m.
Bennett Children's Wing

Drop in for free flower-themed crafts and activities, including a planting activity with Keep Lewisville Beautiful. No registration required.

Stamp Making Demo
Saturday, April 27, 2-4 p.m.

Learn about different ways to make stamps using equipment in the Hive. Free tickets are distributed from the Hive Service Desk on a first come, first served basis beginning 30 minutes before the class start time.
