The 2018-19 budget season is in full swing and city staff would like to know how you would balance the budget.  Check out the Balancing Act online budgeting simulation tool to allocate funds with the goal of obtaining a balanced budget. The tool will be available through August 8 and the results will be presented at the Annual Budget Workshop on Saturday, Aug. 11.

Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Time Warner and Verizon VFIOS cable systems. LVTV Prime (TW-16, VF-15) broadcasts programs and announcements with basic information about city events and operations, while LVTV Leisure (TW-96, VF-16) focuses on the parks and recreation field.

Call for vendors for Western Days 2018

The City of Lewisville is now accepting vendor applications for Western Days 2018, September 28-29, Old Town Lewisville.

Lewisville Western Days vendor spots fill quickly, and availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Last year, vendor spots sold out prior to August. Application packets must be completed in full before submitted applications will be considered.

Vendors can download an application from LewisvilleWesternDays.com. Completed applications are due by August 31.

There are multiple vendor application options; here is a breakdown of each option:

Artist/Exhibitor Vendor Application
To qualify for this type of vendor all products and items for sale must be handcrafted, hand-stitched, homemade or manufactured by applicant or applicant’s representatives. Event management reserves the right to reclassify artist/exhibitor vendors as commercial vendors and vice versa. Also, Event management also has the right to limit the number of vendors who sell similar products/services.

Commercial Vendor Application
Commercial vendors are chain retailers, service providers, vacation planners, travel agents, electricity retailers, health care professionals, health and wellness products, multi-level marketing organizations, home improvement retailers, hardware vendors, banks, financial planners, insurance agencies, home improvement products such as windows and rain gutters, health/beauty products/services, child novelty play toys (glow toys, inflatables, etc.), membership based/rewards club sign up, and all other commercial or service providers not listed above. Ultimate determination on whether or not a vendor is a commercial vendor is solely left up to event management.

Food Product Exhibitor Vendor Application (Food Samples)
To qualify for this type of vendor, vendors are not serving as concessionaires, but are sampling pre-packaged food items such as beef jerky, salsas, barbecue sauces, seasonings, etc. Event management reserves the right to limit the number of vendors sampling similar products. Insurance required.

Non-Profit Vendor Application
To qualify for this type of vendor, vendors must have and be able to present a valid, 501c (3) or 501c (6) certificate designating them as a non-profit organization, or they need to be affiliated, with proof of affiliation, with an established national non-profit organization.

Festival Zone Vendor Application
To qualify for this type of vendor, vendors must have a business whose primary entrance is located inside the “fenced” festival zone in Old Town Lewisville. Qualification will be determined by the City of Lewisville.
