Living in the Metroplex makes it difficult to get hometown news on a daily basis, so the City of Lewisville is doing its best to keep you informed through several avenues.

This page will allow you to see what we send to the media, whether it makes it into print or not. The city publicizes projects, programs, achievements, safety tips, ordinances, Council actions, public notices, special events, and much, much more through News Releases.

The city also operates two Municipal Access cable channels, LVTV Prime and LVTV Leisure, available on the basic tier of the Time Warner and Verizon VFIOS cable systems. LVTV Prime (TW-16, VF-15) broadcasts programs and announcements with basic information about city events and operations, while LVTV Leisure (TW-96, VF-16) focuses on the parks and recreation field.

Annual Funny Bunny Festival

Lewisville Parks and Recreation will hold its 31st annual Funny Bunny Festival on Saturday, March 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Lone Star Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park ballfields, 1301 S. Railroad Street.

Hop on over to Lone Star Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park for an eggcellent time! You can try your luck at our carnival games, snuggle up with some lovable animals in our petting zoo, pose for a picture with Mr. or Mrs. Funny Bunny and of course – fill your Easter basket with lots of goodies from our sponsor tables and egg hunts!

There are three different egg hunt times. Egg hunts are designated for ages 0-13. Each participant is only allowed entrance into one egg hunt time. The egg hunt gates will close 5 minutes prior to start of each hunt. In order to ensure the safety and quality of the experience for all - there is a maximum number of participants allowed in each hunt.

Egg Hunt Times & Locations:

10:30 a.m.
Blue Field: ages 0-2 & 3-5
Grand Stand: ages 6-13

11:15 a.m.
Red Field: ages 0-2 & 3-5
Yellow Field: ages 6-13

Blue Field: ages 0-2 & 3-5
Grand Stand: ages 6-13

Strollers will not be permitted to enter the gates of the egg hunts. Only ONE parent per child will be allowed to accompany participants ages 2 & under. NO parents will be allowed to enter gate area for other age groups. Parents can enter after hunts begin for photos. Food and beverages will be available for a minimal charge at the concessions pavilion.
