The Special Events division manages all major citywide special events, including the popular Western Days festival, Holiday Stroll, Sounds of Lewisville summer concert series, and Keeping Tradition Alive Jam Session with firefighter bagpipes and drum corps. These activities are funded through a combination of Hotel-Motel Occupancy Tax (HOT) designated by the state for tourism operations, and event sponsorships or revenue.

Presented by DCTA
- Date: June 02, 2020 7:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
- Introduction: Featuring David Huffman
The traditional Sounds of Lewisville Summer Concert Series will not be taking place in person in Wayne Ferguson Plaza in 2020 due to restrictions on large-scale gatherings and budgetary concerns. (Link to media release story about event cancellations.) Instead, we are shining the spotlight on YOU, and asking for your help in putting together an alternative digital event. Sounds of Lewisville @ Home Digitial Concert Series presneted by DCTA will take place on Wayne Ferguson Plaza Facebook Live Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. in June and July.
David Huffman, member of the Good Therapy Band that plays at venues in and around Lewisville, will kick-off the digital concert series on Tuesday, June 2, 7 p.m. In addition to David's mini-concert, we will do a Faebook Live Q&A at 6:15 p.m.
We are still accepting video submissions for future Sounds of Lewisville concert dates at soundsoflewisville.com.
