The Special Events division manages all major citywide special events, including the popular Western Days festival, Holiday Stroll, Sounds of Lewisville summer concert series, and Keeping Tradition Alive Jam Session with firefighter bagpipes and drum corps. These activities are funded through a combination of Hotel-Motel Occupancy Tax (HOT) designated by the state for tourism operations, and event sponsorships or revenue.

Rocktober Concert Series

grupo vida news storyThe FREE Rocktober concert series returns to Wayne Ferguson Plaza with a series of four concerts Tuesdays in October beginning Oct. 8. Concerts take place from 7-8:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 22 - Grupo Vida: The Electric Cowboys
  • Oct. 29 - Rocktober Halloween Bash ft. Destroyer KISS Tribute and trick-or-treating and kids' activities from 5-7 p.m. followed by the concert at 7 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort. Well-behaved pets on a leash are allowed. Limited food, beer and wine sales will be available. Guests are also encouraged to eat before the show or carry out and bring food to the event from any Old Town Lewisville restaurants.

Free parking is available at City Hall. Additional parking and street closure information is available at cityoflewisville.com/wfpparking.
