Special Events & Festivals

The Special Events division manages all major citywide special events, including the popular Western Days festival, Holiday Stroll, Sounds of Lewisville summer concert series, and Keeping Tradition Alive Jam Session with firefighter bagpipes and drum corps. These activities are funded through a combination of Hotel-Motel Occupancy Tax (HOT) designated by the state for tourism operations, and event sponsorships or revenue.

Update as of May 5, 2020: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 disease outbreak, the uncertainty of when restrictions will be lifted on large-scale gatherings, and major budgetary concerns, the City of Lewisville is cancelling all city-sponsored public events through late September. Rocktober Concert Series

 ***Tonight's concert has moved INDOORS to the MCL Grand, 100 N. Charles St., due to the threat of severe weather this evening. MCL Grand Performance Hall capacity is 346 people. Seating is first-come, first-served and seats cannot be saved for other patrons. No outside food or drinks allowed in the MCL Grand. No pets - service animals only. House doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concert starts at 7 p.m.
 

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort. Well-behaved pets on a leash are allowed. Limited food, beer and wine sales will be available. Guests are also encouraged to eat before the show or carry out and bring food to the event from any Old Town Lewisville restaurants.

Free parking is available at City Hall. Additional parking and street closure information is available at cityoflewisville.com/wfpparking.
