2019 Paws in the Park

Lewisville Animal Services will hold its annual Paws in the Park adoption event on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge Blvd., across from Lone Star Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park.

This free (unless otherwise noted) event will include:

Half-price adoptions on Friday, May 3, Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5 for all animals ages 6 months and older
K9 Demo
Food Trucks
Educational Classes
Low Cost Vaccination Clinic
Bounce House
Pet Adoptions
Caricature Artists
& door prizes

There are 2 types of races for this event. The Wiener dog race shall consist of dachshund appearing dogs and the Wannabe race shall consist of any other dog (no matter the breed or mix) under 20 lbs. that wants to race as well.

Heats will consist of weenies and wannabes and the finalist of each category will race against each other in the grand finale! Trophies will be awarded for each category and a grand prize trophy given to the fastest racer of the day.
