LISD Middle School Student Artists Show

Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater will display the annual Lewisville ISD Middle School Student Artists Show on Feb. 18-25 in the Main Art. An opening reception is planned for Friday, Feb. 17 from 7-9 p.m.

Admission is free and the gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and during public performances at MCL Grand.

This show will feature more than 300 works of art, representing all 15 middle school visual arts programs of LISD. The display will include paintings, drawings and sculptures. Schools being represented in the show include Arbor Creek, Briarhill, Creek Valley, DeLay, Downing, Durham, Forestwood, Griffin, Hedrick, Huffines, Killian, Lakeview, Lamar, McKamy, Shadow Ridge.

Art teachers from our elementary and middle schools will select student work to showcase and highlight.

Located in the heart of historic Old Town Lewisville, MCL Grand is the premier public arts facility in Southern Denton County. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, black box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard. Medical Center of Lewisville has a multi-year agreement with the city for naming rights at the center.

To reach MCL Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. MCL Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
