Q. How much are tickets for the Sounds concerts? A. Sounds of Lewisville remains a free concert series, as it was upon its inception in 1991. The series is funded through Hotel Occupancy Tax money as a way to draw visitors to Old Town Lewisville. Q. What kind of audience seating is there? A. There is no fixed seating, but attendees are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Q. Can I bring food and beverages to the concert? A. Food and beverages are now available for purchase at the Sounds of Lewisville Concert Series located inside the MCL Grand just off of the courtyard. Outside food and beverages are prohibited at the concert series. Food and beverages must be purchased at the Sounds of Lewisville Concert Series from the on site concessionaire. Q. Is alcohol allowed at the concert? A. Beer and wine are available for purchase at the Sounds of Lewisville Concert Series located inside the MCL Grand off of the courtyard. Attendees are no longer allowed to bring their own alcoholic beverages because a state-issued alcohol sales permit has been taken out for this facility. Q. Am I allowed to bring my dog to the concert? A. Yes, attendees are welcome to bring their dog. Dog's must be must be licensed and vaccinated with current tags on collar. Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by them. We ask that owners clean up and properly dispose of any waste left by their dogs. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than six (6) feet. Any unruly or aggressive dogs will be asked to leave. Only service animals will be allowed inside the MCL Grand. Q. How are bands chosen for the Sounds series? Can I suggest a band? Can my band play in the series? A. Bands are booked in March for the Summer series, and in May for the Fall series. Bands are chosen by a selection committee based on submitted materials, past performances in Lewisville, audience demand and other factors. Suggestions are always welcome. See the email link on the "Contact Us" page. Q. Where can I park? A. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets; at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center; or in the public parking lot across the street from City Hall. Parking is not allowed in the grassy lot across Church Street from the MCL Grand. Q. What happens to the concert if it rains? A. If weather is expected to interfere with the show, the show will be moved inside the MCL Grand if space is available. This information will be posted to SoundsOfLewisville.com by 2 p.m. each concert date. We encourage visitors to check the website prior to the show if they are concerned about the weather. |
