City of Lewisville Social Service Agencies

The City awards Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and City Social Service Agency Funds to local non-profits through a competitive process. A Community Needs Assessment (CNA) is conducted periodically and sets the priorities for social service funding. The Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee reviews proposals and makes funding recommendations to the City Council. The City contracts with funded agencies to purchase services for Lewisville residents. Community organizations or citizens groups that do not qualify for direct funding are welcome to fill out a Community Resident Project Proposal Form . Such proposals will be evaluated by staff and could result in a project administered by the City. City Departments may also submit proposals for funding.

Denton County Homeless Coalition
The City of Lewisville is a member of the Denton County Homeless Coalition. The Coalition supports member agencies to address issues facing the homeless and potentially homeless in Denton County. The Coalition meets in even numbered months alternating between Denton and Lewisville. It conducts an annual point-in-time homeless count and supports applications for federal and state funding.

Agency Roundtables
The City of Lewisville partners with the Town of Flower Mound to host quarterly Agency Roundtables. The quarterly roundtables provide a forum for community dialogue amongst local non-profits.
