Residents able to see their tax dollars at work

Lewisville residents interested in knowing how their property tax dollars are being spent by the city now are able to find out through a new feature on the city's website here. By entering their appraised property value, homeowners can see how their city tax bill is split among such services as police, fire, streets and parks.

This is the latest effort by Lewisville officials to increase financial transparency with the public. Last year, the city added an online check register to the city website where visitors can view and sort city expanses. The online register is available here.
