The purpose of the Human Resources Department is to ensure the City is well served by a high performance workforce through equitable, effective, and pro-active Human Resources customer service.

The Human Resources Department is staffed by seven employees consisting of one Human Resources Director, one Training Facilitator, one Benefits Analyst, one Risk Manager, and three Personnel Technicians. The department provides services and support in the areas of recruitment and selection, benefits administration, risk management/safety, employee development, employee relations and policy administration and consultation. The FY 09-10 adopted budget is $2,928,148.
