The Lewisville Police Department is pleased to announce its participation in a new program that allows citizens access to motor vehicle crash reports via the internet. Lewisville Police Department has partnered with PoliceReports.US, LLC in an effort to provide a higher level of customer service by expediting the process of obtaining a motor vehicle crash report. This partnership will allow citizens and insurance companies to obtain motor vehicle crash reports investigated by Lewisville Police Department through the convenience of a user-friendly internet site, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Effective August 3, 2009, motor vehicle crash reports generated on August 3, 2009 or
thereafter will be available online. In most cases, reports can be accessed within 24-48
hours of the incident.

To search for a crash report, simply enter the following required pieces of information:

· Date of crash AND
· Name of one of the drivers

The fee for motor vehicle crash reports retrieved on-line or in person from the police department Records Section is $6.00. Crash reports completed before and after August 3, 2009, will still be available at Lewisville Police Department, 1187 W. Main St., Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
