FLW to bring Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League to Lewisville Lake
FLW Outdoors will return to Lewisville Lake on March 8 to hold a one-day qualifying tournament in the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League series. Up to 400 anglers will split a total prize purse of $45,000 in the event.
The Lewisville tournament will be the second of four one-day qualifiers held in the Texas-based “Cowboy Division” of the BFL, the nation’s most affordable, close-to-home weekend tournament circuit for bass anglers. The top 40 boaters and top 40 co-anglers in the division will qualify for a Regional Championship set for October on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas, where the top six finishers in each field will advance to the $1 million no-entry-fee 2009 All-American championship presented by Chevy.
“Our company was founded on providing affordable, close-to-home weekend tournaments for bass anglers,” said Charlie Evans, president and CEO of FLW Outdoors. “These anglers are the heart and soul of FLW Outdoors, and we take great pride in providing them with the best possible tournament options.”
