MURDER JOSE FERNANDO CORONA W/M 05-30-1960 505/165/BROWN/BLACK LEWISVILLE, Texas – On April 26, 2010, Jose Fernando Corona murdered his wife with a chainsaw. Investigators believe that Corona may have fled into Mexico on April 27, 2010 at Laredo, Texas. Corona has extended family members in Euless, Grapevine, Mineola, Austin, and Houston, Texas as well as in Oklahoma, Washington and Mexico. Suspect in Fatality Hit & Run Crash Identified LEWISVILLE, Texas –On August 8, 2010, the driver of a black SUV fled the scene of a crash after colliding with a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was killed and the passenger is still hospitalized, due to her injuries. On August 13th, the Lewisville Police Department received information on a possible suspect in this deadly hit and run. The subsequent investigation verified the suspect information and lead to the recovery of the black Chevrolet Tahoe. Investigators have obtained two felony arrest warrants for the suspect (“Accident Involving Personal Injury or Death”). Police are attempting to locate the suspect, Ricardo Ramirez Arroyo, a 19 year-old resident of Lewisville. Ricardo Ramirez Arroyo Composite Released in Jewelry Store Robbery LEWISVILLE, Texas – The Lewisville Police Department is releasing a composite sketch of one of the suspects believed to be responsible for the armed robbery of Harold’s Jewelry Store. The suspect is believed to be a white male, in his mid-30’s, over 6’00 tall, with a medium build, and wearing a black, knee-length Pea coat. This suspect was armed with a handgun during the robbery. This suspect and his accomplice entered Harold’s Jewelry Store located at 1288 West Main Street in Lewisville, on December 28, at approximately 7:30 a.m. The suspect convinced the store employee to open the door before business hours. The suspect then displayed a handgun and let his accomplice into the store. The suspects took collectible coins and jewelry from the safe. The value of the items stolen is still being determined. Composite Released in Aggravated Robberies LEWISVILLE, Texas – The Lewisville Police Department is releasing a composite sketch of a person believed to be responsible for two aggravated robberies that occurred on Monday, December 14, 2009. In both offenses, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens, driving a dark (possibly gray) vehicle. The first took place around 6 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Old Orchard Lane. A female jogger was attacked by a male subject with a knife. He drug her into a ditch and stole her cellular telephone. The victim fought with her attacker and her screams for help caused him to flee. The second incident took place about an hour later in a parking lot at 202 East Oak Knoll Circle. A woman was just arriving home when she was confronted by a subject with a knife. He attacked her and stole her wallet. This victim also fought back and was able to take the suspect’s knife away from him, causing him to flee the location. The Lewisville Police Department needs your help in a Homicide Investigation
The Lewisville Police Department is investigating the homicide of Marjorie Dabney. In November 2007, skeletal remains were located on U.S. Corp of Engineering property south of the Lake Lewisville dam. The property is located north of the intersection of Fish Hatchery Road and State Highway 121 (Business) in Lewisville. On December 5, 2001, Dabney was reported missing from D/FW International Airport. Dabney was switching planes at DFW when she went missing. Police believe Dabney was murdered in late 2001 or early 2002. MURDER SUSPECT Said, Yaser Abdel 1023 Lakeland Dr. Lewisville, Texas White / Male 01/27/1957 Yaser has a mole on the right side of his face. On January 01, 2008 Said, Yaser Abdel is suspected of killing both of his daughters. Irving Detective R. Johnson has obtained a probable cause warrant for Said, Yaser Abdel. The Lewisville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspect in an aggravated robbery that occurred at approximately 12:30 PM, January 26, at a local check-cashing business. The police department hopes someone will recognize the suspect’s mannerisms or clothing. The suspect jumped on top of the counter, displayed a small caliber semi-automatic handgun, and ordered the tellers to give him the money from their cash drawers. The suspect is believed to be a black male with a light-complexion, approximately 5’05” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a light blue hooded jacket with stripes, baggy pants and had a bandana covering his face. This suspect is also believed to be responsible for similar robberies in Coppell, Carrollton and Irving.
