Extended Military Leave Policy

Purpose:

To provide authorized extended military leave of absence for all regular, full-time employees with one or more years of service who participate in the United States Armed Forces Reserve, States Military Forces, or National Guard.

Summary:

Eligibility:

If You Volunteer or Are Inducted Into Any Branch of the U.S. Armed Forces

Days Per Year:

Indefinite

Granted a Term of Leave Without Pay Not to Exceed Five Years

Uses:

To Serve in the U.S. Armed Forces

Notification:

As Soon As Reasonably Possible

It is the intent of the City to comply with all conditions and requirements of federal and state laws now existing and/or as may be amended.
