BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT
Lewisville has an abundance of space to meet the needs of a variety of business activities with several business parks ranging in size from 50 acres to 500 acres strategically located throughout the City.
CITY ADMINISTRATION
The purpose of the City Manager's office is to provide administrative leadership necessary for the implementation of City Council policy direction, administration of the organization, and delivery of service to the citizens of Lewisville. Economic Development, Community Relations, Special Event coordination, Strategic Planning, and budgeting functions are all accounted for in the City Administration budget.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
The purpose of the Community Development department is to develop and enforce minimum standards for public and semi-public areas, as well as for private construction in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Lewisville. Community Development is responsible for the activities and operations of Planning and Community Services, Engineering, Building Inspection, Fire Prevention, and Health and Code Enforcement Divisions.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Because of the prime location and the features offered in and around the community, Lewisville is host to over 20 hotels, motels and extended stay facilities offering all levels of service. FINANCE
To provide management, citizens, and other interested parties with accurate, complete, and responsive financial services. The department performs purchasing, accounting, internal audit, and financial reporting functions.
FIRE

LIBRARY
The mission of the Lewisville Public Library System is to enhance the intellectual and recreational life of the population served by providing access to information, materials, and programs that expand intellectual, cultural, and artistic awareness.
HUMAN RESOURCES
To ensure the City is well served by a high performance workforce through equitable, effective, and pro-active Human Resources customer support. Human Resources provides services and support in the areas of recruitment and selection, benefits administration, risk management/safety, employee development, employee relations, and policy administration and consultation.
MAYOR AND COUNCIL
It is the purpose of the Mayor and Council to provide policy direction and input to the City Manager and staff in order to meet the public service needs of the residents of Lewisville. Council members serve as the legislative body and are responsible for appointing the City Manager, City Secretary, City Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge. In addition, Council provides guidance to State and Federal representatives, promotes interlocal cooperation with neighboring communities, and takes an active role in community projects and functions.
MUNICIPAL COURT
To operate a Municipal Court of Record to schedule and hear all Class C Misdemeanor offenses filed with the Court. To provide information to defendants as to options available, accept payment of fines, schedule and maintain court dockets, process appeals, issue warrants for arrest, and to report convictions and remit taxes collected from the disposition of cases.
PARKS & LEISURE SERVICES
To enhance the lives of the community's citizens and visitors by providing diverse opportunities for quality educational and leisure pursuits. The Parks and Leisure Services department maintains the Library Division; Recreation Services, which includes the administration and maintenance of year-round recreational activities, all rental facilities, Recreation Centers, athletic programs, Senior Center, and swimming pool operations; and administering Parks and right-of-way operations, including Lake Park, park maintenance, and athletic field maintenance.
POLICE
To work in partnership with the community to protect life and property, maintain order, and enforce the law. The Police Department does this through the following activities: the training academy, community relations, patrol, traffic, investigations, records and evidence activities, communications, vehicle/facility management, and jail.
PUBLIC RECORDS
To provide quality and efficient support services for the City Council in the form of agendas, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, proclamations, and boards/commission administration; to provide City staff with an efficient and effective records management program; to provide the citizens with a cost effective service to obtain birth/death information, and conduct fair and impartial City elections.
PUBLIC SERVICES
To operate and maintain quality transportation, drainage, and facility systems for the City with a commitment to customer satisfaction. In addition, to provide superior water and wastewater services, and drainage systems for all consumers. Utilities is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the water and wastewater treatment systems. The department manages the activities of Water Production, Wastewater Treatment, Pretreatment and Laboratory Services, and Environmental Programs..
