Waterpark Lifeguard Training
Prerequisites for ARC Waterpark Lifeguarding classes
1. Minimum age: 15 (by the last day of class)
2. Swim 300 yards without stopping.
- 100 yards Front Crawl with rhythmic breathing
- 100 yards Breaststroke
- 100 yards Front Crawl and/or Breaststroke
3. Complete in the following order
- Swim 20 yards ('front 'crawl or Breaststroke)
- Surface dive to 7 - 10' and retrieve 10-lb object
- Return to surface and swim back to starting point with object
- Exit water without using ladder or steps
- Complete process within 1 minute, 40 seconds
Available Classes for 2009
The City of Lewisville will only be offering American Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguarding classes. This certification will allow you to work at any pool or waterpark that accepts American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
The City of Lewisville is not currently offering any lifeguard classes.
