Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) , fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency, is the 20th largest school district in Texas. It covers 130 square miles of southern Denton County and serves portions of ten communities. LISD is comprised of 31 elementary schools, 10 middle schools, 6 high schools, 1 career center, 1 special education center and 1 learning center. LISD also offers a community education program that provides a wide variety of opportunities for community involvement for all ages.
