“THE ALPHABET CHAIR” Bronze Art Project
| The Friends group is currently conducting their “Turn Your Copper Into Bronze” campaign to purchase "The Alphabet Chair" bronze sculpture for the Children's library. The campaign has reached the half-way mark. Individual letters of the alphabet may be sponsored for $1,500.
“The Alphabet Chair” is a celebration of language, art, and community. Each letter in “The Alphabet Chair” has its own individual texture imprinted from nature or objects. For example, “A” is for “Animals,” “B” is for “Buttons,” and “C” is for “Coral.” Children of all ages enjoy sitting in the chair and solving the mystery of each letter’s origins. |
For memberships or a donations, please make checks payable to the Friends of the Lewisville Public Library, c/o P.O. Box 299002, Lewisville, TX 75029-9002, or give to a library staff member.
