Event/Program Sponsorship Interested in sponsoring or donating to an event or program hosted by the City of Lewisville Parks and Leisure Services? There are endless opportunities to share your business with the community, while increasing the value and participation at the City's recreational events. Below is a list of events/programs by category. If you would like to donate in some other capacity, please feel free to contact us. Aquatics Essay/Picture Contest - Beginning May 4 the City of Lewisville Parks and Leisure Services will begin accepting essays and pictures of "Why I Like to Swim." There are four different age groups. We will be handing out first, second, and third place prizes for each of the age groups. We are in need of prizes for the contest winners - we welcome all prize donations - whether for just a few or the entire group. To donate, contact Hilary at 972-219-3749 Water Volleyball Tournament - On June 20, 2009, the City will host its first-ever one-day Water Volleyball Tournament. For this first event, there will be 8 teams of 3-5 competing in a single elimination tournament. If you are interested in donating a prize/gift certificate for this event, please contact Hilary at 9722-219-3749. Crazy Dayz of Summer - Five days of crazy contests at both of our aquatic facilities. The contests are spread over a five week span. We will award first, second, and third place winners in each of five age groups. Feel free to sponsor an entire day worth of prizes or just a few prizes. To donate, contact Hilary at 972-219-3749 Lewisville 'Lympics - Five days of speed and agility contests spread over five weeks at both of our aquatic facilities. At the end of each day, prizes will be awarded in five age categories for first, second, and third place. Winners will also have their picture taken and displayed at the facility for a week. Again we need sponsors for the events and prizes for the winners. To donate, contact Hilary at 972-219-3749 Doggie Dive-In - This event has become very special for our City. This is the third year to host this event. We have over 120 dog participants and over 300 people participants. We are always looking for booth vendors (dog related), door prizes, and doggie bag goodies. If you are interested in assisting with any one of these, please contact Hilary at 972-219-3749. Kid’s ages 0- 12 years join the Parks and Leisure Services Department and enjoy family friendly activities such as our costume contest, carnival games, face painting, hayrides and trick or treating. Trick or Treating outdoors is back again in a safe family friendly environment. Join us in walking this pumpkin lit Spooktacular Trail around the park where local businesses will distribute candy to the children. Don't forget to wear your favorite costumes and bring your trick or treat bags. Bring your camera to capture those precious memories of your kids in their festive costumes in our staging areas. Sponsorship Opportunities: We accept monetary and in-kind donations. Sponsors needed for; prizes for our costume contest winners, candy (no hard candy) and supplies. Hearts & Roses Ball - The Hearts & Roses Ball is a combination of the former Daddy and Daughter Dance and the Mother and Son Black Tie Social to make it an event for children ages 4- 12 years. The event is held annually at the Hilton Garden Inn/Lewisville, in the Grand Ballroom. A formal dinner is served, with music and dancing and token gifts for the children. A photographer is available to help capture those precious memories for years to come.
Funny Bunny Festival - The City of Lewisville Parks & Leisure Services Funny Bunny Festival is here again! The Lewisville Noon Rotary Club will be preparing a pancake breakfast inside our neighboring Senior Activity Center. Carnival includes games, face painting, the ever-popular cupcake walk, and lots of fun! Our annual old fashioned egg hunt held outside on the lawn. No admission or registration is required for the egg hunts. Souvenir Photos are available.
Breakfast with Santa – held annually the first weekend in December, in conjunction with Holiday on The Hall Festivities in Old Town Lewisville. The local area Kiwanis Group prepares a pancake breakfast for the entire family. Breakfast participants visit with Santa and take photos to cherish for a lifetime.
Lewisville Motorcycle Toy Run - an annual event which began in December, 1999 in order to collect donated toys for Denton County’s children in need during the winter holiday season. The event includes the opportunity to attend Breakfast with Santa, a motorcycle parade through the city of Lewisville, lunch, and a ceremony highlighting the presentation of donated toys. After nine years of hosting the event, the number of participants has increased dramatically from about 60 in 1999 to more than 1,500 in 2007, thus allowing for thousands of toys to be donated. |
