Vista Ridge Amphitheater is located at 3049 Lake Vista Drive. The Amphitheater has seating for 800 spectators in the theater area and additional lawn seating, with total capacity of approximately 1,500. The spacious stage and loading area located directly behind the stage can accommodate a variety of performances. There are two restroom facilities able to accommodate large groups. Hourly rental rates are $75 for Lewisville residents and $125 for those not residing in Lewisville. A refundable deposit of $300 is also required for all rentals. Animal control officers respond to calls and enforce city animal control codes. Dogs, cats and ferrets older than four months are required to be currently vaccinated against rabies and licensed by the city. Some animals, including dogs and cats, are required to be physically confined or restrained on a leash at all times. The city has a non-exclusive franchise agreement with Time-Warner to provide cable television service citywide. Verizon has obtained a franchise from the State of Texas to offer video services in Lewisville. Cable service is governed by the Federal Communications Commission. The City offers free graffiti removal for Lewisville residents and businesses. Calling the Police Department at the non-emergency number 972-219-3600 or by contacting the Code Enforcement Department at 972-219-3480 starts the process. Second, a waiver must be signed giving the city or its contractors permission to come onto the property to remove the graffiti.

The Health and Code Enforcement Division of Community Development is responsible for enforcement of city, state and federal laws in food establishments, daycare centers, schools and public swimming pools. The City of Lewisville operates a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program that provides residents with a safe and environmentally sound way to get rid of waste materials that cannot be put into the landfill. Specific areas of the city are targeted for each of the four events held each year, with residents receiving notification of the collection event for their neighborhood through a flier inserted in their water bills. Residents who miss the event for their neighborhood may participate in any of the other events scheduled by contacting the Environmental Programs Office at 972-219-3503. The collection program is free of charge to Lewisville residents.

To obtain a release, the owner must show proof of ownership and positive ID. The release is then taken to the designated wrecker service used by the city. The fee is handled between the owner and the wrecker service.

The Environmental Control Services Pretreatment Division monitors local industrial users and discharges to Lewisville’s Publicly Owned Treatment Works. Their efforts ensure compliance with the requirements of Lewisville’s Industrial Waste Ordinance and Pretreatment Program, as well as applicable Federal Pretreatment requirements. The Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3 office is a local county office that provides marriage license services, holds truancy court, handles evictions (tenant issues) and small claims court services for values $5,000 or less, as well as handles traffic tickets for the Texas Department of Public Safety, Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens and the Denton County Constable’s office. Lewisville Lake is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project that was started in the 1920s. A new dam was built in the mid-1950s to impound water from the Elm Fork of the Trinity River and the Hickory, Cottonwood and Stewarts creeks. The lake's primary purpose is flood control. It is also used for recreation and water supply/conservation. The Corps operates numerous park facilities. 972-434-1666

The Lewisville Public Library provides a collection of more than 187,000 books, magazines, reference and audio-visual materials, in addition to electronic resources. The Lewisville Municipal Court, located in Lewisville Municipal Annex at 1197 W.
