Accessing your account online allows you to place holds on items, renew your materials up to two times if there are no other holds on the items, review the materials you have checked out or on hold, and change the PIN on your account. Card Requirements The Lewisville Public Library offers a library card to anyone living in Texas. To receive your free library card, please present the following documentation at the Accounts Desk in the Library.
- A government issued photo ID such as a Texas driver's license, ID card or passport.
- If identification does not have the current address, we need verification of the current address such as a utility bill, lease agreement, car insurance, delivered mail, or preprinted checks.
- Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with the identification described above.
- Children at least 5 years old may have their own library card.
Renew My Materials The Lewisville Public Library allows an item to be renewed three times if no holds are on the item. Accumulated fines of $5.00 or more will prevent renewals.
- To log into your account, click here and look for the entry boxes in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Enter all the digits on your library card beginning with the P and ending with any letter or symbol. Ignore any spaces.
- The PIN was assigned when you applied for your library card. If you do not know your PIN, please contact the library at 972.219.3570 or email the Accounts Desk. Please include your library card number when requesting the PIN.
- Click the green button, "Login to My Account," to complete the login.
- Click the link, "My Account."
- Click the link, "Renew My Materials."
View My Account The Lewisville Public Library allows you to view the items currently checked out on your account, view information on the items you have placed on hold, and view fine balances.
