(The Community Needs Assessment Survey will assist the City in assessing the need, importance, and accessibility of community services available to residents. Once completed, the Needs Assessment will help non-profit agencies, the City, and other service providers to prioritize spending and fill gaps in the social services network. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

The City’s Housing and Neighborhood Programs are primarily funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the CDBG program is to provide decent housing, create a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities principally for low and moderate income persons. CDBG funds are awarded to carry out a variety of community development, housing, infrastructure, and public service needs. The Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee, a committee of seven-members appointed by the City Council, serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to CDBG funding.
