Available Lewisville Incentives

Property Tax Abatement or Tax Rebate:

Taxing solutions can be structured to achieve a win/win for all parties involved. They are based upon a point system that consists of company numbers including total full-time employees, average salary, total payroll, capital investment that could include both real property and personal property, and local sales that will be generated from the facility. Total points are used to calculate a base-line abatement that can be adjusted in either direction based upon each individual company.

Triple Freeport Tax Exemption:

The Freeport Tax Exemption allows taxing authorities to exempt taxes on goods that are detained in the state for purposes of assembling, storing, manufacturing, processing, or fabricating by the person who acquired or imported the property. To qualify for the exemption, the goods must be transported out of state no later than 175 days after the date that the owner acquired or imported the property. The City of Lewisville, Lewisville Independent School District and Denton County have all approved the Freeport exemption making Lewisville a Triple Freeport City.

Fast-Tracking Permits:

Approved projects may be fast-tracked through the development review process, which cut down permit times substantially. This means that doors could be opened for business quicker, thus helping the bottom line.

County and State Incentives:

The City of Lewisville, while it does not guarantee any financial incentive with another taxing jurisdiction, can assist any company with making the right connections to start the review process.
