Writer’s Guild
Join the Writer's Guild the second Tuesday of each month from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm as they read, listen to, and discuss their works. Whether you are a writing novice or an experienced writer, this is a great opportunity to get support and writing ideas. The Writer's Guild meets in the small conference room on the first floor of the library.
Mystery Book Club
| The Mystery Book Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is Tuesday, May 20 from 2:00-3:00 pm. We will discuss Killer Mousse by Melinda Wells. Delia Carmichael is the owner of a cooking school in Santa Monica, California, and the star of a brand new cooking show. She is about to add another credit to her resume: suspect. The Mystery Book Club meets in the Crawford Meeting Room on the first floor of the library. |
African American Authors Book Club
| The African American Authors Book Club meets on the third Saturday of every other month. The next meeting is Saturday, May 17 from 2:00-3:00 pm. We will discuss Child of God by Lolita Files. In this epic saga, Lolita Files unveils the hidden lives of three generations of the Boten Clan, a family as cursed by fate as they are blessed with hope. There's Grandma Amalie, who's willing to sacrifice everything for her son; there's Grace, who manages to conceal the identity of her child's father for more than twenty years; there's Aunt Sukie, whose strange power over her husband, Walter, is matched only by the strength of her dark magic; and, finally, there's Lay, whose secret betrayals will set the Boten clan in motion, sending its members on a quest for self-discovery that will lead them from one end of the world to the other.
