“Sounds of Lewisville” schedules free summer concerts
Eight top regional acts have been scheduled for the “Sounds of Lewisville” Summer Concert Series, presented for the 19th consecutive year by the City of Lewisville.
The free concerts will be held on Tuesday nights, from June 3 through July 22, starting at 7 p.m. This year’s series is moving to Old Town Lewisville, adjacent to Lewisville City Hall. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Alcohol is prohibited at the concert series.
“Sounds of Lewisville” also offers a Fall Concert Series with four more free performances held on Tuesday evenings in Old Town Lewisville. A performance schedule is being developed. Both series are coordinated by the City of Lewisville Community Relations & Tourism Department with assistance from the Parks and Leisure Services Department.
Series organizers also announced that Tyler Dow Bryant was voted the winner of the People’s Choice Award for the 2007 series. His band will open the summer concert series this year on June 3.
